Ola, Lovelies! (Portugal-vacation mode. Can you blame me?)

These are just some of the pieces I liked at the London Fashion Weekend showcase of the Bora Aksu and Mark Fast collections. Personally, I preferred the Aksu collection as its a ready-to-wear collection and the pieces can be teamed up with different accessories and colors to make it really stand out. The Fast collection is a bit more edgy for me personally, though there were a few good pieces which I liked and have posted here.

Bora Aksu, originally from Turkey graduated from Central Saint Martins in London, a leading institution in Arts and Design. His trademark piece is the cocktail dress as you may have noticed. His next venture will include the amazing tights you can see in Pictures 1, 2 and 3. Can hardly wait! The tights he created for the S/S 11 collection were just for the show but have received amazing feedback! See his current and past collections here

The Canadian born designer Mark Fast, graduated from Central Saint Martins as well. See a pattern? He worked with Bora Aksu before setting up his own label. His signature is hand-made knitted dresses, of which I love the piece in Picture #4. Check out Mark Fast collections here

  10. Hey! I looked for your email all over to reply to you. thanks for commenting on my "hard to post" post. hehe About the Jack Daniel's shirt. I actually got it from a show where my friend were playing. It was hosted by JD and they threw some to the audience. I have a friend who found a vintage one on etsy! Maybe you can find one.

    Have a good day :)

  14. Hey Sartorial Diary! (Vikas and H right?)

Thanks for your comment! I think I know which dress you're talking about. His work is really interesting - Im really excited about him creating tights for consumers in his next line! Yep they definitely do - after all - it is central saint martins. Too bad a lot of prospective Indian designers overlook CSM.
